S-class shoot Bisley Sept 28th

Okay here is my constructive comments.

*Dont invite a forum to shoot with your club IF your club isnt set up to do it...blah blah blah.
*Check with your club first if it is within the rules...blah blah blah.
*Check you understand the rules yourself!
*Dont then confirm that those people can shoot on the day over a series of emails blah blah blah.
*Remember to notify those people in good time when you realise you messed up so that they can cancel the arangements they have put in place.

Now then as fo c18 where is your constructive comments?? Perhaps you should listen to your own advice. All you are ding is bitching about things you dont know the circumstances about. I was happy to let this go after my last post but you feel the need to bring it back up again!

How would you feel if you booked leave, arranged a child minder ect ect only to be let down at the last minute by someones cock up on what appears to be soething rather fundamental? It has cost me annual leave and money.

Perhaps if you cannot read basic club rules then you shouldnt even posess a ticket??
Many other clubs anage guest days for ticket holders quite easily.
Some how you managed to cock it right up.....at the expense of everyone else.
Thank you.

Constructive comments, don't need to. I like to think my actions speak louder than words. I actually go shooting and don't just talk about it online.

Posts it's like yours are exactly the reason I try to refrain from posting on this forum. It's seems whatever you say here gets jumped on by some form of keyboard warrior.

When you organise a comp I will quite happily attend and if necessary will provide constructive feedback. So scuba, when's the comp?

Was that intentionally ironic? That's exactly the point - Scubadog, through no fault of his own, didn't get to attend a competition, did he?

I would suggest you are making yourself hostage to fortune there. If Scubadog invites you to a competition, you make all sorts of arrangements to attend and then get told you can't shoot for some rather elementary reason. Oh well, - as some other contributor has so eloquently pointed out "s**t happens". I'm sure you wont mind will you?

No irony intended. My point is, organising a shoot of any kind is not a simple task. It's akin to herding cats. If scuba organised a comp I will attend. If through no fault of his own I was unable to shoot, I would thank him for his efforts and wish those who were able to shoot a good days shooting. I certainly wouldn't embark on a character assassination campaign as he has done. If I was able to offer any kind of useful information to resolve any problems he encountered or to improve an organised shoot I would do so in a polite, civilised manner.

There is a lot more to people being able to shoot at Bisley as a guest of an affiliated club than I have either the time or inclination to try and explain here. Needless to say I think Rup and the rest of us involved in organising the next comp will be having a few discussions with the legal team at the NRA to reach some form of resolution. Those who THINK they know differently obviously have not had that discussion. Those who DO know differently, please get in touch with either Rup or myself.

So scoobydon’t, why don’t you take some action to back your keyboard up and let us know when your comp is?
