Sako 243 foxing Ammunition

Just to make a change from the 22-250 for shooting Foxes , I fancied loading up some light bullets to use in my Sako 243 . Has anyone else had any luck with 55gr / 65gr bullets in a Sako sporting barrel with a 1 in 9 twist ??

55gn Sierra Blitzkings gave me 1/2 MOA at about 3800fps. I settled on 70gn Nosler Ballistic Tips though, that’s what the calibre was designed for. That still comes me 3300fps.

Im using the Sako 55gr Varmint game heads in my 243 i know youre asking about home loads but thought maybe if you looked what heads they use it might be helpfull. 4 shots when I rezored last week with new scope. 100 yards

Same here. 70g blitz @3300fps do the job very well

I use 75vmax for foxes and deer and found them very good
