Wanted: Sako Finnfire P94S Ejector Spring

Good Morning All,

Looking for a Sako finnfire ejector spring please?
Mine has pinged out and lost in the grass somewhere.

These can be made without much trouble using .7-.8 mm piano wire and some pliers. However, its much easier if you have an old one as a pattern.
The attached diagram can be used at a push if you dont have the old one to copy and can't locate one for sale.

The one I made is probably stronger than the original. The only issue is how to post it without getting damaged in transport.

My bolt has always been a bit stiff to cycle since then and it reminded me when out on rabbits last night... so today I decided to have a close look as to why and reckon it was because I hadn't got the vertical to horizontontal bend at the back end at 90 degrees ... so, of course, I had a go at it with a pair of pliers and fractured the wire. Merde

Just made another with a pair of long nose pliers rather than the aero modeller type wire benders and it was dead easy.…. It works but having just seen the dimensions in SCC’s post above, I can see there’s an extra bend in the wire… so, I’ll have another go whilst the action is out of the stock.

ps... Hmmm, at the moment I'm not convinced about that 6mm dimension... just made one up and it fouls against the face of the bolt so I need to take it out again and measure it to check I've got it right.... Alantoo's diagram shows that as being 0.190"/4.826mm.
pps... Reduced it to just under 5mm 'inside' the bends and it's fine

Just a note to the drawing. The oroginal springs are made from 0.6mm wire. 0.7 to 0.8 piano wire will work and probably last longer.

You could be right. My diagram was not precise. Just a rough estimate in case i ever got stuck with no spring to copy.

Ahh, that might explain why my cases were ejecting around 5m with my newly made 0.8 wire then! ...i had to reduce one of the bends to tame it down some.

And the 6mm bit is more like 5mm. If you use 6mm and thicker wire you may have problems with closing the bolt.
I made mine by comparing it to the original springs I have.

Almost as good as hot cases flying down the shirt of the lamp man sat next to you when shooting out to the right with a 10-22..... he started sitting on the left after that
