Sam. England manager.

Sam has been a chump but the press are as much to blame...
No they're not!

No-one forced him and his two idiot advisors to go out punting for money.

I heard him today saying "entrapment has won"....sorry, not it hasn't Sam, "stupidity has won".

The man clearly didn't sufficiently value his supposed "job of a lifetime" before he stuck his hand out and asked for the £400,000.

67 days and apparently he still got £1m severance.

Unbelievable.

I just can't see how someone as worldly-wise as him fell for this. the England football team really are a joke. The national team always takes a back seat to the clubs. The players won't commit themselves fully for fear of getting injured and not being available for their clubs, they don't play and train often enough together to be any good and it seems the shirt means very little to them. I would say this applies to most players, but not all.

Perhaps they should look at how many national rugby union national teams are run. It is the pinnacle of a players career to represent their country and they give their all for it. Maybe centrally contracted players is the way to go.
