Posting with £1500 insurance cost approx £13 (I've just sent a scope myself). You would be mad to send anything of this value without insuring it Sa.

Yep agree, just offer the options,
Are you interested in the scope then?
If it is as cheap as that (previous experience says more) then I will include, otherwise it's additional. I sent a FLIR thermal which cost £67 insured. Who did you use?

With Royal Mail Special delivery can send a small parcel upto 2kg, dimensions: 35cm x 45cm x 16cm. £1000 cover.

For £10.

And these days they can collect from you for an additional £1 or so. Normal posty will do it while on his rounds, you just arrange it via another Royal mail service.

Cost me £14 a month back to send my scope to Swarovski, insured for £2000 & next working day before noon by special delivery. Told the counter clerk that it was a telescope when asked what it was, he then asked if I'd used it to see the meteor shower recently - I said no 😳

Sorry to butt in, however, i have one of these and it's FFP, not SFP. Are you 100% sure your scope is SFP? I didnt realise they did SFP in these?

Regardless this is a cracking scope for the money.
