No one has mentioned to reverse the level and check it is ok....
What I do is set the rifle (action ) using a level ( one I have checked )
25 yards down the garden is a 4ft builders level set vertical, I adjust the scope to that, also there is a bit of white tape on it so I can dial in from the bore to the scope.
You don't have to write a War & Piece reply for such a simple job....
