Scope mounts and rings

I'm sure this has been done already so please forgive me if so, but how does one determine which scope mounts/rings to use (centrefire) - not sizing but which brands?

I'm assuming there's a price related difference in quality but are there any which are unsung heroes?

I'm not really thinking that specific (which probably shows my lack of knowledge on this topic), just whether there are any general principles and better/worse brands.

price usually dictates quality. But, usually, I advise to go for steel not alu, and avoid anything quick detach unless you are spending £500-£1000

I don’t know anyone who uses steel mounts, but otherwise, yes, generally the more you pay, the better.

Shjite seriously, to TRUST QD, and have reliable returns to zero. Doesn’t come cheap.

Funny that as have been using Leupold QRW for years, only 1 loss of zero (my fault). This on both rim snd centrefire
