Shotgun Merge Debate

Being from across the water I've no direct dog in the fight so to speak. But still signed the petition because the way I see it an attack on legal firearms holders anywhere is an attack on all.

Introducing a nonsensical move such as merging SGC's and FAC's would just open the floodgates for even more unnecessary restrictions down the line.
Madness that it is even up for debate as the current FEB systems are on their knees as it is and from what I can see (and correct me if I'm wrong) there is no benefit in merging the two.

Hopefully common sense will prevail and something that isn't broken (term used loosely) will be left alone.

apparently far more killed by fireworks each year than the average over many years of 3.8 by legally owned firearms.
and if you go on Petition.gov there’s a a petition to ban/restrict fireworks to displays only and the gov basically said (nah) we like em

More proof that the whole gun thing imo is just political point scoring and attacks on rural community’s

notice the bbc have not opened it up for comments, or explained the police failings that resulted in the plymouth shootings.

A Home Office spokesperson said: "Firearms licensing controls are crucial to keep the public safe. Legally held shotguns have been used in a number of homicides in recent years.

and how many more by knifes?

Makes you sick the way this country is going.

BBC is owned by whatever party is in power, if a government came in like say Restore Britain ran by Lowe who is all for guns and ownership etc then the BBC would probably run Positive gun story’s and talk facts

Till then expect silence and absolute refusal to spill truth on anything shooting related, the government have an agenda as always and it’s us the shooting community who have to firmly stand are ground and get the message across that NO you will not take away our sport and way of life and hand them cold hard facts

I really hope Governments quit this anti rural pish because it’s blatently obvious. If they ain’t tarring the green belt with wind turbines, they’re attacking land owners, farmers, shooters you name it.

It’s all totally deliberate and co ordinated and I don’t think it’s a conspiracy to think that

Luke Pollard, the MP. is getting a lot of criticism on his facebook page regarding the 5% pay award MPs have just voted for that £5,000 so now basic salary of £95,000

Perhaps as he shouts loud for the end of section 2 he should be reminded that the plymouth shooting could have be stopped before they started if it was not for the failing by the Police and the firearms licensing team.
