One for Keith here, Just recently we have been visited by some huge Hedgehogs in the gardens, as the hounds of hell are let out for their last toileting, all hell breaks loose, yodelling is putting it mildly, anyone would think something very large & very angry was at bay. They only do it with the Hedgehogs, no other animals encountered get this response, excepting just little of it, albeit a bit muted when straining following scent lines.

Probably excitement coupled with frustration Steve. Dogs usually open up out of excitement, fear or frustration. Hedgehogs are slow and easy prey apart from the fact they are covered in spines and they roll up in balls to add insult to injury.

It's good to see some hedgehogs are still around.
It's been years since I've seen one. They used to be common when I was a boy but are so rare now around here [Glasgow area]
