Sierra 55 gr Blitzking using RS40

Thinking of loading up some 55 gr Blitzkings for my .223. Has anyone tried these using RS40?

I use RS40 for 50gr SBK and it works again treat. Currently using 23.8gr in my load.

I use 26gns behind a 50gn SBK or 55gn Sierra SP (fox or muntjac).

I’ve got some 55gn SBK somewhere but haven’t tried them yet. I’ve got plenty of the lighter ones to work through first

What brass are you using with 26gr please mate? No pressure signs at all? Onky asking ask I use Lapua brass and once I hit 24-24.2gr I start to see pressure signs.

23.9 grains of RS40 behind a Sierra 64 grain game changer works well in my rifle.

PPU brass, currently on its second firing.

I worked it up slowly to 26gns with no pressure signs. I didn’t go further as it shot so well at 26 I didn’t feel the requirement.

It’s mainly used for fox & the odd muntjac.

Interesting! I wonder if PPU brass has a larger internal volume than Lapua brass?? That's almost a 2gr difference! Very interesting indeed!

thats exactly why you should NEVER use some one elses load and always follow a reloading MANUAL data. buy a reloading manual and stop asking joe soaps advice!

All the powder manufacturers have data on their websites, that shouid be a good place to start if you dont have access to manuals or pc programs.
