Wanted: Sika recommendations please

If you dont mind a bit more travel and a bit of a holiday thrown in then give Norman a shout at Irish Safaris. I am off out there in a couple weeks time for a few outings on Sika. Have only ever seen / read and heard great things about him and his ground.
Yes I’ve been there two years back again was a great experience I was with out with his son Oisin had a great experience out with him I’m booked in for February with Norman looking forward to stalking and fishing 🎣 🦌

Also the accommodation and Guinness was excellent 🇮🇪🍺🦌

Fair play mate you certainly get about :) 👍

Cheers. Will certainly see how the fitness levels are. I have heard he is a bit of a mountain goat.
He certainly seems to shift so good luck. One advantage (he looks well built) is that he can recover the deer when you are recovering your breath 👍

Done Scottish Sika for a few years on Stobbo which was excellent and hard to beat.

Last 5 years has been Wicklow as a swap with lads that come over for the roebucks and it's on a different level for numbers.Has to be seen to be believed and some very good beasts.Admittedly we are very spoiled as no money changes hands and last year we had 26 beasts between the two of us including i think 10 eight pointers for just over 3 days.
Great countryside, great numbers and great people.

Do you take your rifles and how easy is the process of licences etc?

Very easy and taking rifles over is too.

We inform the ferry of carrying them and they have a quick look and ask if the ammo is factory loads as no re-loads are supposed to be taken.

First time over we were advised to apply to NI for a firearms pass also but they actually phoned us back saying no need apart from air rifles??
