Available: Single Gun Lease Near Dundee

Appreciate that it’s a lot, but it’s not impossible that someone will pay that sort of money, I don’t agree with the value at all, it’s ridiculous but if the landowner wants it and gets it then it was right. Anything is only worth what someone is willing to pay after all
Not Tullochs, the other fella saying it's £100/acre. Maybe had a recent Scottish education....
I can understand totally there may be one guy willing to pay the sum in order to enjoy (almost) sole access to the ground, it's not my place, or anyone else's, to comment on what a person wishes to spend ones money on.

Apologies Malc, I didn’t read it properly.

Rates are calculated on about £5/ha I think - it would be interesting to see if it can be structured to avoid the sporting robber……. I mean tax

He offers it, someone pays the asking price and that suggests it’s in the right ball park, or no one pays and he’s over done it - that’s literally how value of these things works
If you think his workings are correct on the post I replied to seek help, immediately!!

personally i dont get stuff like this, land owner has a problem with deer, but you have to pay him to go sort it out,
to me thats like ringing a plumber with a leaking tap and charging him to fix it,
same as i saw some pigeon shooting offered the other day, £150 a man, king ridicules,
Not defending the price - it comes down to supply and demand, more stalkers then available land- OP does not state there is a deer problem there- it’s only worth what’s someone is willing to pay for it. Time will tell 👍

Not everyone is lucky to have free stalking- I have a few free bits, but also have to pay for some further afield to get different species.

I agree with the more stalkers than land and er go there is a demand for land for stalkers to have sole access for when they want to go out etc but in the same respect the price is well above and beyond anything reasonable and if anyones paying that kinda cash for 750acres then fair do's do as you please I guess but to my mind that seems outrageous, I know someone who pays that for 10k acres or soo and they guide on it to recoup the costs. Just seems mental so its going to attract criticism naturally, as for negotiations im somewhat local to the ground and id happily fork up some cash for the rights for sure but not to the tune of 6k and what I would offer would be no where near that so wouldn't waste my time asking

I made a reply to a post on here wanting to charge people to go help him with his cull. I told him I would help him but he would have to pay me.

The prick deleted the post and sent me a snotty DM.

He wanted me to pay to do his job. Cheeky ****er.

You know who you are 🖕

I see these posts for leases and syndicate places for prices like this that seem just crazy to me.
Far from working men's prices, but no doubt someone will pay what is asked.

No previous cull records available?
Imagine paying that money, which averages £127 per week, to find you can't achieve the numbers required to break even

I've always thought it odd, too, that you are expected to pay a man to shoot his vermin.

It's not about breaking even for many people though. For me personally, if my main focus was "breaking even", it wouldn't be a thing I'd waste my free time on.

I know what you're saying, and I agree with it as for me its just being out doing something I enjoy, and putting quality food on the plate for my family and friends.

But for many folk, to be able to afford to take on a lease or a syndicate position at that price, I don't think I'm wrong in saying that they would be looking to recoup as much as they could by selling to game dealers.
