Single shot break barrel rifle

If looking low cost, look at Thompson single shot with interchangeable barrels, CZ combo gun, or Baikal combo gun. Not beautiful but the work well.

I have been looking around and the Blaser K95 is the one I would love to own. However its way to much cash for me. Next I really like the Haenel Jeager 9 but I don't know the cost. Now getting to the bottom end and I do like the Rossi . Does anyone know the UK agent for Rossi.
Thanks for the input guys.

Highland outdoors bring in Rossi but I've not seen the single shots on their site.

Viking Arms bring in Haenel so I'd give them a call and see about price.

I have a Thompson Center and like it.~Muir

(Tho I'm still looking to get a Handi Rifle in 30-30 so I can recut the chamber to 30-40 Krag. That will be one heck of a rifle!)

I am keen to get an affordable single shot break barrel rifle. What would you guys recommend? and in what calibre. I would want to use this rifle for everything from Roe to Kudu. I love 30-06 but a bit worried about recoil in such a light rifle. I don't like 308 (no idea why). I was thinking about 7 x 57.
Tusker.
Found what I want. Now I know I said I didn't want 308 but this rifle just has to be mine. It is a Baikal and comes with a very nice quick release mount. Having held the gun I loved it and as it is 308 the calibre will do all that I want. It is second hand but has not done much work, not a blemish on it. Having had Baikal shotguns before I know that it wont let me down.

Did you get a single shot, or the combination gun?

The Baikal combo is a lot like the Valmet combination gun. The barrel attachment at the muzzle can be tuned to adjust the point of impact, to get the rifle and slugs shooting to the same point of aim.

Hi Southern, I got the single barrel and I have to say for the money it is a very pretty rifle. Also I can get a 410 shotgun barrel that will go straight on the action.

The good thing about Baikal is that you can use them as a club to finish of wounded game without fear of damaging the rifle.

And if you get a puncture on the way home you can use it as a jack to change the wheel:) . Like to see a Blaser do that.
