Skinning/splitting knives??

I have recently lost a knife I used to cut along the median line of the hide, and don't want to buy a gut hook knife, as I believe they can contaminate the meat with cut hairs.

The knife I always used, then lost, had a curved one sided blade with a rounded and blunt end which precluded puncturing the bag, or entrails. I bought that knife many years ago and can't remember where I got it. An internet search has proved unfruitful. I'd be much obliged if anyone could point me in the right direction so that I can get a replacement. Thanks.

Sounds just like the survival knife issued to RAF aircrew - you might be able to get one through a military surplus dealer.
