Sled/Sledge recommendations please.

Should have said mate getting a red into the mini would be slightly problematic and not ideal but the large would be perfect bud. Worth the money in my opinion

Thanks guys no worries about reds....if I’m lucky enough to shoot one down here I won’t give a monkeys how I shift it'! So long as it takes big fallow that’s good enough for me. The otter looks perfect size for me jet sled a bit too long to fit in behind quad.

I forgot about this offering from Donnington Deer Management as I was thinking more sledge, as your original post but a very good idea and man of your skill could knock up something similar... If your using an ATV...

I've seen one of these in action , they can pull a lot of weight . As noted in the article , they suck in deep snow . That being said , I'm not sure that would be a problem in most of the UK .
I use a calf sled for pulling out bigger animals , about $150 CDN , not sure if they're available in the UK , but they're sold here at any farm supply outlet .

No, this is one for UK use:

I had the 250 version and with the adjustable load bed extended fully I could fit three Devon hinds on it (just!) and drive it straight into the back of my Land Rover 110. The thing would go anywhere provided you could hang on to it. Worst days work I ever did giving it up.

Incredible - looks like something out of Robot Wars.

Unfortunately I couldn’t figure out a way to mount a petrol angle grinder on the front!

Seriously though, the 250 Honda Power Carrier was ideal for extraction - particularly from the steep coombes in this part of the world.

We used to be able to import these from Germany - sled, stainless steel runners and hitch frame (ball-hitch can be sourced in uk and retro-fitted), however the shipping charges become too high due to weight/size.

Big shame as everyone who sees our syndicate sled asks if we can get them - shifted large Galloway stags no problem.
