Smocks

I am currently trialling the New Forest 'Nightjar' smock. Very early days - hasn't rained on me yet. What I like so far....
1.) The light green material is soft and breathable, the darker contrast panels feel tough, like a light Cordura.
2.) The two front pockets meet as one, so it is one really big front pocket, accessed from both sides - huge capacity. The only downside of it being one big pocket is the lack of segregating so items 'could' clang together while stalking - just be aware and don't put two objects that could clang together.
3.) The front marsupial pouch is really handy - I put my 8x32 binos in there while using thermal on a neck strap. This has almost removed the need for my Harkila bino harness.
4.) The left side body panel has a large vent/access pocket. This is brilliant.
5.) The hood has loads of adjustability and can be pulled snuggly and neatly over a baseball cap
6.) Zips are sealed and work well...so far

Downsides so far
1.) The side vent/access zip is only on one side?? Even if it cost a bit more, I would prefer this on both sides
