8x57 how about getting admin to tie it in with the Swazi jacket draw and everyone in the draw for the jacket pays a fiver if they win they get the Swazi and 2 bottles of port.
There are 271 posts on there so far, granted the odd extra from admin so knock it down to 260 that gets a lot of money for a good cause.
Provided people don't drop out because it's no longer a freebie.

+1 for this idea. I certainly would be more than happy to pay a fiver to have these two bottles join the rest of my port collection lol

Nice idea Dickie but I don't think it would be right to go hijacking someone else's draw especially as that is a free one and a large number of entries have already been made. Like you say perhaps some people would then drop out because it was no longer free. It just wouldn't seem right to change the rules midway through the game.

Bang it in a raffle with the tickets being sold @ £5 or £10 each. I will be happy to pay that with the prize being worth much more than the price of a ticket and at the end of the day it is all for a good cause so I don't see anyone complaining. Let us know the outcome pal.

A raffle is certainly looking the favourite so far but let's have some more suggestions to consider please.

What about speaking to Nick Holt to see if they would auction it for charity at their December sale?

I personally think a raffle as it gives every one a chance whereas an auction will restrict it to those with money at the time. Just my 2c worth whatever the decision count me in. it is a great cause.

Thanks for the comments guys much appreciated, so to give everybody a fair chance I have decided that a raffle is the way to go. I think that it would be a very great shame to seperate the bottles so both will form a single prize for this draw and that tickets will be as reasonable as possible. I will post details later today.
