we have lots of rabbits and blue hare, grouse, snipe golden plover though i dont know enyone shooting them ,and woodcock some years big falls on the full moon ,wildfowling ,mallard ,teal resident with again big numbers migrating some years ,,the resident graylag population has done very well over the last few years ,and will get out of hand they are competing with waders and winning over nesting areas ,some of the crofts ar getting a hammering and shooting isnt keeping them down i trap feral ferrets on some areas holding grouse ,i shoot over a pointer ,though unless you and your dog are well known by all the share holders of the hill dogs are not allowed at all, most of the open ground is held by the crofters and to shoot you need all there agreement ,a crofter has land apportioned to him and he can give you the shooting on that land ,as for the geese they will mug you to shoot them in some areas.Bruce
