Hi everyone
So I’m still in the process of sorting out my SSG 69 and my primary scope option for it is to keep it as close to original as possible. However, the OEM scope rings appear to be a pain.
I’ve got a Kahles 6x42 ZF84 that I’m looking to mount on it to keep it close to original and have sourced what I thought would be the correct scope rings, turns out they are 1’ when the scopes tube is 26mm. Steyr must have made one inch and 26mm models but judging by the amount of ring marked scopes I see about from the SSG rings maybe this isn’t common knowledge
I definitely didn’t know and given how rare the original rings are I’ve probably got no hope of sourcing another set.
So my question is has anyone had a set of 1 inch scope rings bored out to 26mm and may be able to recommend someone who could undertake the work? Ideally someone who could also cerakote them to as close to the factory finish colour as possible afterwards?
I’m sure it’s a long shot but any information or a steer in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
