Stalker
We are pleased to offer the position of a Stalker in the beautiful surroundings of Strathconon Estate.
In this role, you will carry out the day-to-day duties of a Stalker on Strathconon, Scardroy and Ledgowan Estates in an efficient and effective manner. You will work closely with the Estate Manager and be proactive and able to work independently and motivate staff.
We are seeking an experienced Stalker who can undertake activities according to the Estate vision, mission and values as provided by the Estate Manager.
This position reports to Strathconon Estates Limited and the on-site Estate Manager.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Work with Estate Manager to provide appropriate deer numbers to support nature conservation objectives and adhere to the estate policy on best practice for Deer Management
• Take clients Red Deer Stalking
• Maintaining the Deer Larder per SQWV stipulation
• Take care of working hill ponies along with Estate Pony Ghillie.
• Assist in Habitat & Conservation Monitoring
• Landscape Maintenance including mowing, planting, weeding etc
• Maintenance of horticultural equipment and vehicles, ensuring they are legal and roadworthy
• Co-ordinate works with other staff members and contractors along with mentoring support for any students
• Compliance with the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and related legislation and adhere to the estate Health and Safety Policy Statements
