Stand Still!!

Most of my stand this afternoon was watching pheasant's grabbing a last feed before root, I picked this spot as the wind was not good for the high seats which would take my sent straight into the holding cover!
Deer o'clock was ticking when I felt the wind come on the back of my neck confirmed by the flash of 2 fallow who must have been couched up in the cover but the wind change woke them up, plan "B1" get to the top of the field and lets see. 3/4 of the way 2 falow (could have been the previous 2) rolled back into the cover #### it lol
Made it to the truck and parked it behind the hedge, right Tim I am muttering to myself while reloading lets see what is by the far hedge as they must be somewhere.
A line of fallow looking like they are heading to the Ark mostly youngsters jostling for first place which is a lot of eyes! As they went down and up the middle ditch I pushed on with some low trees as cover two lager lumps I had not seen were at the back of the line, time spent on this ground says 200! with the pricket know facing the hedge but this lad was quartering away but not standing still
He did come around a tad so behind the elbow it is going to be for the round to do its's job, and it did it very well with not a twitch, the others in front went everywhere then pilled back into cover.
Best part of 190 yds 49kg dressed still cooling down.
A thumbs up from the farmer also a ping from my local camera at 7am but I had a funeral this morning so my mind was thinking of my friend not on deer.
