Starting recommendations for 308 short barrel

i have a bergara b14hmr .308 and its a 24" pipe...by time put mod on its looooong!
im seriously considering chopping it down to 20" ( figure in mind for now)

am i mad ?
n140 is what use currently, would that still be suitable in 20" .308 barrel

its what a lot of other people use, personally I would keep the long barrel or swap for a shorter barrelled rifle, but if you have to cut it, then I would be looking to go to 18" or even 16" to take advantage of the shorter barrel. if you go 16" then possibly you might need to change powders for ultimate performance, but for stalking? I doubt it will matter

If it helps I have a factory tikka t3 shortened to 16” using factory 130’s it was 2758 over the chrono, accuracy is spot on, recoil is minimal but this is in no part helped by stock and mod/brake
