For your consideration, my Steyr Scout in .308, with its AimSport Triton Predator Mod. £399.
A fantastic field rifle fit with a conventional scope, a low-power variable, a red-dot or a long-eye-relieve Scout scope. This is visually an 8 out of 10, with some good field time under its belt. Ballistically still 10/10. This has slayed somewhere near 100 deer, and last year was happily ringing the bell at the 900m target at Orion Ranges in Wales (loaded with 168gr target bullets!). Total rounds through the barrel... probably ~700.
The AimSport "Triton Predator" mod is 4 years old and is in top nick. I am bundling with the Scout as the rifle has a slightly unusual thread, and I had the adapter of the Triton cut specifically to fit. I am however happy to unbundle the Mod if you do not want it, for a savings of £100. The rifle loves a reflex moderator and these can be found for this thread, with a bit of effort.
The Scout has weaver rails all along the top. Three have been professionally milled-out to accept milspec picatinny mounts, where conventional scope mounts would fit.
I love this rifle, but am replacing with a single-shot kiplauf of some form. Just a change of hunting philosophy as I also run a Blaser R8, filling the "big rifle" niche in my locker.
The gun lives with me in Reading, and I'm happy to drive an hour to handover to the lucky owner.
