I was out shooting last night and had a minor mechanical issue as some crud had built up on the bolt face and was preventing the bolt from closing. Bit of a scrape with the car key and all sorted for a shoot.
Today, however I decided to give the bolt a thorough clean and opted to strip the bolt so I depressed the little release button and apart it came.
Once cleaned then I tried to put it all back together and the parts simply didn’t marry up.
Now my unit has the decocking lever and not the 3 stage safety, so you have to cock it so that once the bolt is open then you can depress the trigger and the bolt comes out. But, in doing this the bolt is in the wrong position when you come to refit it all, meaning the lugs are in the wrong place.
So after about 30 mins of watching pointless videos (all about the 3 stage safety model not mine) and a significant amount of swearing I finally realised that I had to manually rotate the firing pin mechanism to get it in the right position and, voila! Sorted.
Seems a bit of a faff tbh but if anyone else has this rifle and tries the same thing then this is how not to do it!!
