Storm and deer behaviour?

I find deer tend to move much less in extremes of pressure, high or low. I do well in stormy weather as animals will tend to seek lee side shelter of hills, banks etc, often find fallow hunkered in deep conifer/scrub areas on the lee side. As has been said roe seem to be out in most weathers, not too fussed, but will avoid wind and rain in excess, often seeking lee side of hills and banks. But again on a number of occasions they dont read the rule book, got one area, where the Reo persistentely work on a hilly area in the open in the face of the wind, I put this down to disturbance and poaching pressure, as the area is rife with coursers and poachers, so they go where they can observe. Just my observations.

If you flush a woodcock while stalking a deer is often very close. They both prefer shelter.

Not have been out stalking in stormy or high winds weather.

I wonder what are the sika and roe behaviour in such weather?

Whilst walking the dog in the woods today. For the second time I spotted a herd of sika, not sure if they were feeding, bedding or taking shelter. Only saw after they started to run.
I don't wanna disturb them hence the question.

Any thought ?
If it uncomfortable for us to be out then its uncomfortable for deer. They will get out of the wind and rain and not move much at all. I did have one piece of ground(mostly ss forest) that was next door to an estate with a large population of red living on the open hill. During bad weather these deer would push in to the forest to get shelter.

What i also find is, if red deer are put under pressure they tend to get into bigger and bigger groups.

Sika under pressure do the opposite.
