Stripped Sling Stud CZ455 -Spartan Bipod

Has anyone stripped their stock thread when using a Spartan Bipod?

I dont know if its going to be salvageable or whether i will need to throw a new stock on it?

How would you go about repairing it, already tried PTF tape.

Epoxy the stud back in so you can use a sling and stop using the Spartan adaptor thing for both bipod and along use. They are a bad design in my opinion.

Conversely, the gunsmith adaptors for Spartan bipod use are brilliant. I have now done away with using Harris bipods and now have gunsmith adaptors on all my rifles and use the TAC bipod which addresses all the shortcomings of the previous Spartan.

I now finally feel the ongoing bipod saga in my life is now over. Until I lose the bipod that is but I will leave that terrible event for another day.

I do use the Spartan Pro hunt tax, got the adaptors on all my rifles, this rifle is the only one Iv had issues with... its always been loose and would work its way out, no issues on any of the other rifles... this one has finally let go, thought about gunsmith adaptor but nowhere for sling to go then

Wood or synthetic?

I'm familiar with this stock and there's no need to abandon the situation. Just drill the hole out and fit a threaded liner, the same thread as the set screws that come with the Spartan adaptor and if you want belts n' braces just apply a bit of epoxy to the liner. When the time comes to remove the adaptor just get a threaded sling stud.

It's an easy enough fix. It happened to my Tikka T3 lightweight with a synthetic stock. I just removed the stock and used a Dremel to cut a hole in the inside. I then just used 2 part epoxy to hold the nut in place. It's a bit like pillar bedding, using some masking tape and plasticine to stop the epoxy running everywhere and making a mess.
