Stuart Mitchell’s project no 1164

No lanyard hole, orange handle, different blade profile. Have never hung it from my wrist though 🤔
You'll have to drill a lanyard hole for that...
Joking apart, I find it particularly handy to have the knife hanging from my wrist when skinning. As you know, much of it can be done by hand, but there are places where the skin sticks a bit and needs easing with a knife. Having the knife dangling from my wrist means I don't even have to pause to pick it up or unsheath it, and I don't have to put it down again either - just let it drop.

I’m sure it’s just one of those things you do automatically, I’ve always used a butchers scabbard.

Ps. I’ve already commented on how much of a pleasure the design process was with Stuart, but worth a comment on how the knife performs. I’ve done a bunch of deer with it now and I don’t notice the knife at all. I mean that as the highest compliment possible. I pick it up and never think about it. It just works.
Thank you 🙏

Been thinking long and hard about this, the knife is a goer, it works, I know the materials are good and the design does everything it is supposed to do, but, big BUT, it needs a name.

I have one particular in mind, but your thoughts would be welcomed, your ideas please.

Probably even a prize for the best one, if chosen 🔪

Just to be clear, which one are we naming? I think there are 3 different profiles in the thread - although they may all be slight variations on the same knife?

On the other thread I said I quite fancy the name Parvus, reflecting the diminutive stature of the knife.

Pudu or Brocket would continue the deer theme, or Duiker if you’re willing to extend it to antelope!

Sorry, it was that black handled 90mm bladed knife, but, decision just made, I'm going with the plan I had in mind. Sorry for the bother 🥺

Your input is very much appreciated, it really is, decided upon plan A, thank you though mate 🙏
