Suitable motorbike for pulling deer

I've been following this one with interest. It all looks great and I'm looking forward to the pics of you bringing back a deer.
Yeah me too.......I was out and all I could see were hinds...... unfortunately not that time of year

Well guys the bike worked really well.......I was in the forest doing a bit of stalking, came across a young 55kg (larder weight) red.......This forest wasn't suitable for a quad with all the fallen trees and tight spaces.......my car was about 1000+ yards away and I managed to extract the animal but i couldn't sit on the bike as this caused a lot of stress on the torque belt so I walked the bike out while controlling the throttle and it certainly took the strain off me, bike handled it no problem

Fantastic result, sounds like a great success!
Maybe all the ‘experts’ on the thread saying it’ll never work might take note

I'll get some photos of the next one......it was pouring down yesterday I was soaked to the bone and I just wanted out of there

I wish I could upload a video because I was able to pull that 78kg stag whilst sitting on the bike with no issues........when I pulled the other deer out (the 55kg one) the ground was drenched and the rear tyre was spinning severely due to its not so good tread, pushing and controlling throttle was key......the dry ground made a big difference and the bike pulled me and the deer easily......below is the 55kg deer DSC_4361.JPG

I should've been more specific, I meant that the belt was stressed from the constant wheel spinning and overheating (rubber belts don't like to get too hot)
Fair play, from what I read you walked it out as it was very wet meaning you had no weight on the back wheel so it spun.
Like my deer cart not everyone's cup of tea but you made it work to suit so well done. Time will tell with the belts so bung in a spare and a few spanners. With our dive boat trailer I had 2 sets of bearings and a kit made up to swap them out as it was a long drive back to Essex from Plymouth lol.

I'm pleased you got something that works for you. There is not really a single extraction option that will suit all terrain and circumstances. It seems to me that you have thought about your terrain and circumstances and developed an option that suits you.
