Summit stalker replacement seat

The plastic seats have worn out (UV degradation I presume) on a couple of Summit stalker high seats of mine. Looking online, I can see replacement seats sold for the Mark 2 high seat but since mine don't say mark 2 and since they are pretty old, I am guessing they must be mark 1.

Does anyone know will the mark 2 seat fit the mark 1 frame? If not has anyone found a simple solution?

Surprised the plastic has gone before the steel as mine rusted very quickly and condemned them as unsafe after a couple of season. I would just make a simple wood seat of a couple of joined planks that span the seat gap. Add some foam if you want luxury

I’ve also got a couple of these with the identical problem, steel work is in fair order but seats have cracked.

Is there anyway you can find a couple of basic 'school' seats and fit, usually something on marketplace.
The metal is almost entirely rusted beyond repair now on mine, I would never let a client sit in it, in fact it's about time I condemned mine.
When I bought it I also splashed out the same amount of cash on timber, I made a double high seat with tanellised timber and its still as good as new, even after being tipped into a stream by an anti!

If the plastic is knackered I would strongly suggest you have a good look inside the legs to see if there’s any steel left first.

I use the moulded stackable chair seats and they work a treat. Something like this,Buy Polly Stacking Visitor Chair Black Polypropylene Without Arms Ref BR000202 - BR000202 - 5055852282284 - Discount Deals - UK Office Direct Ltd. You can get them secondhand very cheaply.. Might need a couple of drainage holes drilling in them.

Take the steel legs and support frame off and they're spot on; very comfortable due to the back support they provide.
