I searched for a fair while for a low miles great condition example, looking for the more solidly built Mk1 and have owed this bike for about 18 months now. It's one of the cleanest, lowest miles examples of this iconic V-Twin Suzuki, renowned for its reliability and grunty Vee twin engine. This example is in a silvery pale blue metallic and simply superb for its age. One of the most popular and sought after middle weight adventure bikes, there's loads of positive online reviews and blogs on this bike, which some have used for global touring trips as well as making an ideal commuting and general do-it-all fun bike.
This has covered just a genuine 9K low miles since new and benefits from ear pristine paint work, a rust free main cradle frame finished in metallic black. Engine casings are fresh and free of damage/corrosion...indeed, there's remarkably little corrosion on the bike, which has been garaged for its life and seen very few wet roads. Engine has been regularly serviced and had no less than 4 oil changes with several filter changes in its 9K miles. It's mechanically perfect, runs like new and starts on the first press of the button every time. Utterly dependable motoring. Suspension feels fresh, compliant and it has externally adjustable rear preload.
The bike benefits from the following optional extras and upgrades:
Comes with two complete sets of keys.
It runs and rides superbly, incredibly well balanced and with great handling and magic carpet suspension, ideal for our pothole riddled roads! Everything works as it should and I'd happily take this tomorrow on a continental trip with no worries. Up to 65mpg giving a 200 mile plus range. Incredibly versatile bike with more than enough get up and go for rapid overtakes and will cruise effortlessly at 80-90mph all day every day. Loads of low down torque meaning its almost impossible to stall and will pull from tickover in 1st no problem.
I bought this intending to use it over winter but decided it was too good as a winter hack and instead have only used iot for the odd ride out and to commute locally when on Blood Bike duty, to get me to our EVS compound to pick up the liveried blood bike for night shift duties, then to get me home after my shift blocks were completed. It's been garage stored and kept on a battery tender when not in use.
I'm only selling (and know I'll regret this!) to help fund a new business venture. No timewasters please, and test rides possible but only on production of the correct insurance/licence and with some collateral left with me. Any drops/damage will have to be paid in full by the buyer.
This is a complete steal at £2,700 firm please which is a lot less than it owes me and you'll struggle to find a mk1 in this spuperb overall condition with such low miles. Fast becoming a modern classic, so grab it before it goes as I'm expecting it to sell quickly. Collection only from GL11 area.

The bike benefits from the following optional extras and upgrades:
- brand new uprated stator and regulator with new wiring fitted after purchase (the original was a weak point so I upgraded this one to ensure complete dependability);
- Oxford "inteligent" V.8 multi adjustable heated grips and bar mounted controller;
- Crash bars and substantial aluminium engine bash guard;
- rear rack and Suzuki top box, colour co-ordinated to bike included;
- Fully alarmed and and immobilised with two key fobs all operating perfectly;
- Pyramid rear hugger which has kept rear shock pristine;
- Cockpit mounted phone holder and USB socket;
- Fully service brakes including new rear pads;
- New uprated top spec Yuasa battery
- Full service kit (all filters and new plugs) included
- Front fender mud flap
Comes with two complete sets of keys.
