Wanted: Syndicate place scotland

Subsistence

Looking for any syndicate places or permissions in Scotland, I'm on the west coast near Oban but happy to travel

Have my DSC1, and insurance, however they won't finalise my FAC until I have land to shoot over.

I would just book a paid stalk or two. That justifies good reason to possess in itself. No need to wait until you have land to shoot over 👍
That is what I was doing, however at my home visit yesterday they told me they won't issue for paid stalks, and that I needed to have land to stalk.

Probably true, not much help to me though.
Tbh, I think they're being a bit unreasonable. I would think getting into a syndicate or getting land to shoot over, may be tricky without an fac. Usually the paid outings is the way to go to get started. They are kind of asking you to put the cart in front of the horse. I would try to talk to someone else or get advice from an organisation.
Good luck

I would absolutely challenge that. Inspector Bruce Crawford would be my choice of contact within Police Scotland. I would suggest a polite email to him seeking clarification would be well worth your time.

Have you seen this?

I’m just outside Inveraray and didn’t have any issues like that getting my FAC last year. Never had ground to shoot over at the time and still don’t have anything close to home. It’s slim picking over on the west coast so had had to look towards Perth for a syndicate.
