Not that long 'til the stags start and I'm needing a tracker for my Teckel. Now, it seems only sensible, being a prudent (not mean) Scot, to ask if anyone on here has a "pre owned" (as they call second hand nowadays) unit suitable for a wee dog like that.
Obviously it's got to be a size that is not going to be a Tupperware box round his neck!
Anybody got one?
Thank you.

I'm away from home just now but I think at the vet the other night he was just over 10 kilos - of solid muscle! (Would that be about right?) Even the vet commented on his mega powerful back legs.

Checked with his mum. Like any male parent, what do I know. Apparently he's twelve and a bit (I forget exactly) kilos. Will that actually make any difference mchughcb?
Thanks Kai for that info.
Tracker.fi seem to be good, but no reps in UK. Should I be worried?

No problem with Konrad and his after sales with anything he sells. Did you contact him?

I don't need trackers for mine but the garmin astro 320 we use the for the beagles would be okay on the 15kg one, but too big on the 11kg one. I haven't heard of the mini so that probably will be more suitable.

Just found this thread.

I use a Garmin Astro on my teckel but I have it in a vest on his back, as has been mentioned previously I think they're a bit big and bulky to have around their neck whilst running, saying that I have several close friend who use one on their dogs without any problems.

I recently got a TK-909 GPS tracker off eBay which works using a sim-card, i'll put this in the pocket on my dogs gps vest with the Astro collar as a back-up. I can then track the dog when he goes out of range of the Astro as long as their is a telephone signal. You call the GPS and it sends you a text message back with a google maps link showing the dogs location. I haven't used it yet whilst hunting, just played around with it in the local area but it seems to work well.

Here's some clips of the dog wearing the vest:
