So I'm babysitting my 8year old granddaughter who hates loud noises.
She loves and trusts her grandad because he is fun
.
I showed her my electronic headphones and she liked them so we set off to test some 22 ammo on a farm.
The test was CCI segmented subs, Winchester subs in the new smaller box and Federal HV solids..
10rds each at 60 big strides.
Wind variable gusting left to right.
Nothing fancy but it looks like the Winchester were the best! Apart from four just sailing over the top.
The federal were a disappointment as were the CCI because This rifle does ok with other CCI offerings.
But all that paled into insignificance because I encouraged my granddaughter to have ago and she did but first came the safety drill. Fingers away from trigger until safe to shoot. All her life she has seen me handling firearms and we always check together firearm status and check they are not loaded, a real switched on kid
We put a rock up in the berm and got her on it, her first shot hit it plumb centre!!
70 rounds later I managed to get my rifle back! She had a blast and at nearly 8 years old she has excellent eye and hand coordination.
Her mother is also an excellent shot
.
She then drove the car off the farm.
We had a blast
