Hi does anyone know the waiting time currently for Thames Valley police for renewal for firearms and shotgun licences?

Hello, Mine took about 3 Months from the initial letter to getting shotgun renewal and certificate, did not continue FAC

At the start of the year I put in for renewal in January on my FAC and got it back in May. My certificate expiry was June.

My wife's FAC and SGC expired 2 days ago despite her renewal application being submitted in mid April - well within the recommended timelines. TVP have issued a letter stating they have extended her FAC til November.

Anyone else had a letter of extension to an existing FAC and SGC?

i had an eight week extension from tvp, certificates arrived just before the extension ran out so all good .

just renewed mine with southyorkshire police got to take my hat of to them got mine back 3 months early

MET police have been brilliant on variations, taking roughly 10 days.

They used to be awful - missing renewal dates by miles despite asking people to submit their renewals up to 12 months early.
But, since moving 300m over the border into Hertfordshire I have heard that they are a lot better!!

Mine took 6 months last year for a coterminus renewal. When the FEO visited he brought a colleague being trained up so hopefully it's a bit shorter now

Popped mine in with 3 months remaining, had Doctors letter ready to go and waited 7 weeks for cert to arrive.
The FEO made contact at about 5 weeks so I was happy, to be sure TV set me an extension to cover in case of delays.
