The Bill

A Cardinal attending the Vatican every day has noticed a man sitting on the same step for a number of years.
He notices that the man is Jewish from his apparel.
After a while it intrigues him so he approaches the man and asks him how long he has sat there.
"Well I have been here every day for 50 years, my father sat here before me and my Grandfather before him and so on, we have for all these years been trying to get an audience with the Pope".
The Cardinal is quite impressed so the next time he is in conversation with his Holiness he tells him the story.
The Pope amazed grants the elderly Jew an audience and asks him, "My son you are not of our faith how may I help you".
The Jew replied "Well it's about this Bill for the Last Supper".
