If you've had Browning bolt-action rifles before, and are curious about what's new with the X-Bolt 2, I've got some news for you. I've had a couple over the years and have liked them, so when Browning recently released the X-Bolt 2 I wanted to give it a try. For those who might also be curious, I've put it down for others to read along:

Problem is iam trying to find the speed but unable to find any in the UK?
Also hopefully there still have the capability to shoot well.
Any info please on who may have them in the UK 🇬🇧 🙏 20220503_132113.webp20201206_134111.webp

I had the original X bolt Hunter. The trigger was too heavy and the wood was too soft. Otherwise a wonderful rifle, a fair step up from the Ruger American and the likes. I'd say on par with Tikka, if not better. A superb rifle for the money. Also available in different action lengths. The 308 win short action was short, light, handy and well balanced.

I have the X Bolt, with the feather light trigger (I think it was marketed at??) £719 from Malmo...

Can't fault it, if and when I shoot it out I'd be happy to replace it with another Browning.

.243 and is in triple figures for foxes and its seen lots of deer to the chiller! For the money, hard to beat

Brings back memories of my first deer rifle which was a Browning A-Bolt in .270. Wish I hadn't got rid of it now. The stock on yours looks almost identical to the DIY paint job I did on mine.

Mines the factory stock its still knocking the buggers down but now with the Hikmicro alpex lrf 4k 😁

I can't believe it's been ten year's since I bought mine. Still going strong. For the money they're hard to beat. Same as Slider, my trigger is always a crisp, clean break and not unduly heavy at all.
That bloody sticky stock coating though, ugh. Had mine shotblasted and cerakoted and never looked back.

Did my stock myself. Rubbed down with bi-carb and rubbing alcohol the pained with Plasticote from a rattle can

Almost forgot about this, been almost two years now. Still a great little rifle, my children have had great luck with it.

Our youngest managed to take his first mule deer buck last season, took a single shot to the ribs at 470 yards. You can read all about that hunt right here.
