Did the €42K include the return flights to Turkey?
I've just seen this post on the German forum. My membership was declined, would you be able to find any more information please?

In the last hunt worldwide there is also a report about a failure in Turkey
It was exactly the same organizer, Osman Kandir from Anstolia Safaris. The report in Jagen Weltweit is from a German/Austrian hunting group from this hunting year, they were there shortly before the English and also experienced a disaster. To do the same thing with the next group is pretty bad. Kandir is definitely at the Jagd&Hund in Dortmund, where you can talk to him about his great driven hunts.

Bet the Q won't be too long.

I got this reply this morning.
Hello Brit,
As you have found out here, there is also a review of Anatolia Safaris and Osman Kandir in the current edition of the German hunting magazine for foreign hunts "Jagen Weltweit". [JWW]. From a German/Austrian group that was probably there right before you and experienced something similar. Send your report about the hunt to Jagen Weltweit. They will certainly be happy to print something like that as a letter to the editor.
Greetings,
Lydia

Does this Osman have a brother called Lee who used to advertise as Warwickshire Pigeon? I think a few of the SD contributors have had similar 'disappointments' with X, Y or Z and the value of this Forum is we can share our experiences and so save others the same pain. I am sorry the OP was to be let down but thank him for posting his tale to alert others to be aware.

Similar experience a couple of years ago with Hungarian Hunting.
Six outings did not see a single boar even with the thermal.

You live you learn you don’t return.
HH seems to get a very mixed bag of reviews on here from very good to very bad

I have just seen this review today. As a keen hunter myself, it is always sad to hear about unfortunate hunting experiences. I did a boar hunt myself about 3 years ago in southern Turkey in the Taurus mountains with the same outfitter- Anatolia Safaris . I must say to the contrary that my experience with Osman Kinder and the team from Anatolia Safaris were absolutely faultless. Osman went out of his way to make this hunt a success. My package was for trophy boar for 5 days hunting- mainly at night.
The logistics were spot on with the accommodation and meals superb. I have taken 4 boar with two of them having exceptionally long tusks and massive bodies. Night time boar hunting, I may add, would be more predictable , and although we were hunting hard until late night/ early hours of the morning, it was an experience of a lifetime in the Taurus mountains. We were also accompanied by a government Wild Life official on each hunt to verify the boar taken. Wild boar are extremely switched on and intelligent creatures which makes it more challenging. Osman and his team also went out of their way to help me with the night vision set-up on the .308 I took with me. That paid off. I would give night hunting for wild boar a try which may give a better opportunity to bag that elusive one. As for myself I have found that driven hunts are too unpredictable . I have unfortunately also been on hunts that did not go 100% and this is sometimes very hard to swallow. I just thought I would share my experience with this outfitter with you. I Wish you guys better luck next time round.

It must be taken into account that after an exponential increase in wild boars and the consequent proliferation of hunting trips, night selection and increase in wolves and African swine fever throughout the Mediterranean area, the wild boar contingents are decreasing, we here in Italy are the example.
The organizers promote what they have done but then they clash with reality, the one who pays a lot is the hunter

Interesting- I did not realise the Swine Fever has that effect already in Europe and beyond.
Unfortunately yes, in some areas they have been decimated if we add that last year there was also a significant drought and that many small ones died the game is soon over. The numbers have gone down

This was in Czech last year. Their population is doing fine ! Czech does not suffer from a high population of predators, fox, jackal, wolf, bear. All of these fancy a bit of young pork.
Asf has had an effect on the boar population in Europe. An outfitter I have used a couple of times in Romania has refused to offer any driven hunts the last 3 years. He ran one in January for a small group. I’m glad to say they got a few and, as usual, saw more. So a few of us are off there next January.

I have personally attended, with 11 good friends, two driven hunts with Hungarian George. The lads also did a third trip, that I couldnt make.

All I will say is that it was very good, excellent logistics, great accommodation, food good, and plenty of Boar. This was prior to Covid, and the swine flue, which had a serious impact on Boar numbers in Europe.
I have not been since then, been too busy running my own outfitting business. However I have known George a number of years, and he has always been honest with me.
