Has anyone fitted a t3x super varmint stock to their t1x? I have heard they drop straight in one of those

Yes the drop straight in. Mines is in a Varmint Stock. Same stock but the cheek piece doesn't adjust.

Where did you buy the stock from?

I was lucky enough to have a mate who was upgrading to a KRG Bravo and didn't want to keep his original stock.

This is my T1X in 17HMR, soft touch vertical grip and beaver tail, tac bolt handle and wildcat mod, spring upgrade and I have just bought a SH Tikka UPR stock which I am getting re-finished.

Bin the plastic stock, @PSE Rifle Stocks Multi Purpose is ideal as no modification required to fit the T1x into their T3x stock.

Next is change the plastic magazine well to a metal one.

Picatinny rail is optional, personally don't see the need for it as .22LR is not very effective for killing small game cleanly past 125 yards, so dirrect mount to the 11mm dovetail is ideal.

The plastic mag is fine , there is a company in Canada called coretacsolutions making a 15 shot metal mag but I don't know if they will ship internationally.

Ask Boyds to just put "Wood stock" on the invoice. It will not/might not attract the holdup that seems to happen at UPS when they query the link to firearms.

I put mine in a GRS stock, with a 20 MOA rail for long range shooting.

Would you recommend it for a hunting scenario? It's mainly going to be used for pest control

I use mine mainly for rabbits at home, sometimes from a high seat, sometimes off a tripod and mostly from the bedroom window! I wouldn't want to walk miles and miles though.
