Good afternoon Gents,
3.5 months since I initiated the request, plus interim e-mails to GMK, for a metal-lipped 6-round T3 Magazine for my .223, I now have one being shipped to Wilsons & Wilsons at Ramsgate. Received the confirmation e-mail from GMK this morning.
It's arriving in the nick of time, because the fifth replacement T3 plastic magazine is now starting to misfeed, costing me follow-up shots on a second fox cub; has happened twice now.
So will make an initial report with photos on the Metal-lipped T3 magazine as soon as I acquire it.
=======================================
Hello JTO,
In the Spring/summer months a vixen with playful cubs can be spotted in a group, one reason I required a 6-round capacity magazine.
For maximum results the Vixen is the first to be culled, then while the cubs are in disarray/bewilderment I have managed to dispatch 4 of the 5 cubs. The suggestion that I only put 2 - 3 rounds of ammo in these magazines would not serve my particular requirements! If Tikka designed the T3 magazine to hold 6 rounds then it should function with 6 rounds, I should not have to address or adapt to its failings, especially as they cost around £55 a piece! Stating that these plastic T3 magazines were "not fit for purpose" to GMK has resulted in a free replacement of a metal-lipped one, which I hope addresses the premature wear of the plastic lips - time will tell?
Regards
Roy
