Tikka T3x stock

I’m wanting to change my T3x super varmint 22-250 stock to a green one, do all the standard stocks fit any calibre? As I know some magazines don’t fit

With Tikka, it is mostly the base plate / magazine that differ and it should drop straight in to a standard stock.

Just to clarify the above post. Tikka T3 and T3X actions are all one size. The magazine housing/trigger guard are all the same size.

The only things that change are the bolt stop and the magazine.

The green varmint sticks will fit the 22-250 rifle.

Unless the T3x is a CTR model in which case the magazine, bottom metal and stock have unique inlet

But the action as Scotch rightly points out are all the same

I had the Varmint stock, upgraded it to a GRS BiFrost with no regrets, and it might be worth considering. (OpticsW & Macleods' run periodic offers).

As has been pointed out, the only exception is the CTR version that has to accommodate a d/stack magazine, and the stock requires some inletting.

For most other s/stack magazines the outer diameters for the base plate remain the same, it's just the inner cutouts that change dependent on calibre.

I have a green GRS Brifrost boxed and new that will be available next week. For Tikka T3 or T3X and can include a short action bottom metal (plastic) and a 5 round mag if needed.

Thanks for the offer but will stay with the standard. I did get a oryx (which I loved) for it but ended up selling it as it didn’t fit because my mod was to big & would work out more expensive to get a new mod & a variation

That's what I did albeit same calibre/cartridge. As above, all actions and therefore footprints, (other than CTR?), are the same and it's only the magazines bulkhead and I believe bolt travel/stop that differ. I think I paid something like £170 for mine, it's mint and came with a free short Accutac rail that retails at £70'ish.
