I have been wearing Tilly hats for years now. I have Harris Tweed waterproof winter hat with ear flaps and several summer ones. Started buying these because "one size" does not fit my big head
In 2016 I bought a Tilley hat. Not the cheapest but very comfortable.
There was a lifetime guarantee with it but I never trust these things.
Yesterday I applied as the material over the forehead had worn thin and failed.
At 04.30 I recieved an email for photos. At 12.30 they had agreed it qualified and at 12.45 there is a new hat in its way for £6 handling fee.
WOW, that's what I call service!!!!. I have one, and it's brilliant. I do spray it with waterproofing occasionally. I also punched a hole in the rear of the brim, put a brass ferrule in, then a key ring holder in the punched ferruled hole, then put a lanyard through the ring tying it to my jacket, this way if it blows off notwithstanding the loop strap through the hat, that way if you are out in the wind, or climbing some fells your hat remains with you
