If a deer is shot on estate ground by a stalker with trained hunter status , then the estate extract the carcass who's trained hunter details are tagged to the carcass ?
I'd tag the beastie with my own tag at the point of gralloch and ensure I recorded the details in my own log in case of repercussions.
I assume you logged the time and date in the estate register anyway along with your details?

Now theres a point , i logged the fact i shot a stag , my first one and yes you guessed it off your fecin sticks lol
As for the "estate register " there might have been a empty fag packet on the car park could that be it ?
If you have tagged the deer it is your responsibility. Your name numbers time and date should be on the tagg. Any problems should have been noted. If it hits the Game dealer a week later as high as a kite then you have reason to suggest it was not properly chilled lol.
Might i add if i put a deer into the food chain i see it to the end.

The trained hunter declaration is only valid if signed by the trained hunter. If you haven't signed anything, then you have nothing to worry about. Someone else could tag the animal if they were witness to it's behaviour prior to shot and also witnessed the carcass inspection though. Any repercussions would come their way as it would be their signature.
