Two Tier Kier

As close to an illegitimate Gov as is possible in a (barely) functioning democracy

He (they) got 36% of a 58% turnout = just over 20% of the electorate

All on the back of hiding his/their true agenda

He is a weak leader of a weak party with poor ambitions for nonsensical policies

He rode into power on the back of the (deliberate) failures of another bunch of pillocks

Now challenged by huge national and international issues

He (they) won't last very long

No matter how much the mainstream media spin this .....

He (they) are not up to the job

Coming from Elon Musk who backs Trump the accusation will be dismissed, and maybe seen as a compliment. :);)

Reducing the sentence served from 50% to 40% isn't universal, as offenders imprisoned for sex crimes, violence or terrorism don't qualify. Too many prisoners, not enough prisons (98.5% full in May) is a problem the Tories ignored. Starmer had the guts to deal with it, and doesn't seem to me to be the type to back down.

With a majority to match Blair's in 1997, Labour will be in power for 2 terms. It looks like there is at least 10 years of moaning and misrepresentation to endure from thwarted tories, and Reform no-hopers on here.

Classic left, brutality and imprisonment for anything contradictory. Meanwhile freeing up prison space, releasing actual dangers to society.
Off to a fantastic start, isn't he ?
Classic Stalking Directory.

Imprison people for 5+ years for holding up traffic on the M25 and it's cheers all round and good job. Go after thugs burning private property, assaulting police and generally being absolute scum (but pretending they're doing it for "their country") and it's absolute outrage.

I don't think this site could be any more ridiculous than it is even if it tried!

And yet, like all of us, you choose to come here voluntarily - no-one is forcing you.

If encountering contradictory views is something you find ridiculous, perhaps Stalking Directory - and social media in general - isn’t for you?

The link below was in our local paper yesterday, Surely this comes under violence, What sort of message does this give regarding knife crime.

I have to say, take a breath or maybe a voluntary time out, I enjoy your posts, but you seem a bit stressed at the moment.

Let me add one more comment.

The clue about Stalking Directory is in its name - it is a site that is first and foremost about deer stalking. However it has areas like Off Topic to, amongst other things, let people vent their collective spleen. If it didn’t have the Off Topic section then the Stalking sections would end up inundated with dozens of superfluous threads.

So what brings us all here is the fact that we have a collective interest in deer and deer stalking. Speak to any member about that, and you will likely find common ground. So it sometimes helps to consider that any subject areas beyond stalking are secondary to the site’s purpose. They may be of interest, but by and large it will be only academic.

The reality is that deer stalking attracts all types, from every social class and political persuasion. Some of them you will find yourself in agreement with, and others you will find objectionable. That’s just how life works - no different than going into the office or the local pub.

I am sure there are plenty here who have me on their Ignore list, think I’m a pillock, or disagree with my opinions. That’s fine too, because I’d hate to be surrounded by people who always agree with me. Having people challenging your opinions is a great way of either enforcing your own viewpoint, or finding a new one. If you want to simply talk to people who agree with you either politically or socially, good luck - I’ve yet to find any forum on social media that can guarantee that!

If you’re not careful, though, you can find that the non deer stalking discussions become more important than the deer stalking ones. Been there, done that, and all I can say is that it’s a pointless, frustrating, and time-consuming activity. Take a step back, don’t post in haste, and remember that even pilots who tried their damnedest to kill each other during the Battle of Britain ended up being the best of friends when they subsequently met each other face to face!

I may not agree with you on some things, and you likewise with me, but I enjoy your posts and we share a common interest. At the end of the day, that’s what’s most important. Sadly social media is transacted across keyboards, not pints in the pub!

They were not jailed for holding up traffic, thus the 5-years.

Do you really believe they got 5yr just for holding up traffic, most of them jailed had a string of offences against them going back years and are serial offenders which has cost tax payer thousands and wasted many police hours, Last year the police spent nearly £20m policing just stop oil protests , Whilst I don't agree with the current rioting I also don't agree with all the resources and money being used to police the just stop oil protests.

Words fail me.
They often will, if you operate on prejudice rather than facts. :(

Don't believe everything the media prints, particularly the Chronicle. :)
I remember this case as I'm Newcastle born, and know Elswick well. The Crown Court transcript appeared in my HMCoJ reports recently. If this is read to the end, it's clear that Lawson Natty served almost 9 months on remand in a Young Offenders Institution so was entitled to a much shorter term.
The judge didn't class him as a danger to the public.
