Using rangefinder as binoculars while scouting for deers?

Well i have good 8x56 bino but most likely will sell those. Weight is too much to carry around when hunting. I want to get rid of all extra weight and go as light as possible. Maybe i will get something like 8x30 bino and that rangefinder. Weight will be less if you compare to my old ones.
My wife and I both have Leica RFs, Mrs Kiwiguy has 2000B and I have 2700B. Both have very good optics and we have used them for spotting game.

However they only have a 24mm objective lens and 7 power magnification which gives an exit pupil of 3.4mm. This is OK in bright daylight but not so good in low light conditions.

We both also have Swarovski 10 x 32mm EL binoculars so the combination is still rather light.
