Hmmm. Very funny colouring for a mature bird - if you look closely you can see downey feathers too. The bit I missed was a much larger (parent?) feeding it….

We have fledgling woodpigeon in our garden , in every month of the year now . They breed in the large conifer hedge between my house and the next door neighbour . I used to see the young birds , and think to myself that they wouldn't make it , but most of them do.
Looks like an adult female. A fledgling has a big red gob. Ive seen a few birds with similar colouring, there was a mostly white one living in Shannon town centre a while back.
