I use the rainfall radar on the met office site a good deal, ideal for the next few hours ahead:

http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/radar/

Also if you are in the South East quater of the UK, this site:

http://www.shaggysworld.com/mesomap/index.html

Has a load of local weather stations giving up to date data, one was right by my old sysndicate ground so I could sit at home 30 miles away and know exactly what was going on at the shoot weatherwise.

I use www.xcweather.co.uk and www.mwis.org.uk - I monitir them just about every day and they are both surprisingly accurate.

Yes I ams sad to be watching the weather all the time, but my other passion is Paragliding which is very weather dependent and you have to sneak out for a flight when you can. Have had some cracking views of the Scottish Mountains and seen beutiful stags from the air.

WEATHER WEB SITES

Hey guys,
Thanks for these sites. Have just shown hubby and as they are predicting snow and wind, told him he can stay at home and tidy his shooting kit up and even do some jobs around the house. Suspect he will be trying to find his artic gear instead!
Cheers
