So this really has made my memory banks open up with fond memories of a truely mad part of my life.
Started off in a seedy nightclub in London at a Alexis Korner gig, two of us a little worse for wear after to many whisky's , made a pact that as we were never going to see the halcyon day of the young again, it was time for a mad tour. Stephany and I left the UK and did some serous travels seeing Led Zeppelin in LA, I was arrested, Various including Bob in Jamaica[ I was deported} and Kevin in Germany again arrested! and finally Reading festival in England, oh the joy of being one shilling short of a pound.
But I'm glad I calmed down and settled down, otherwise Im sure I would not be here now.
Aha! I seen a few guitarists in my time, but Johny boy is the finest guitarist of the lot IMO, give him an echoplex & he goes into hyperdrive. Saw him solo on this One World tour, at the University of Essex. One world. the last really good album he did, his best work was with Danny. Dealer & Big Muff, recorded by Lee Scratch Perry. The most unlikely partnership but brilliant combo. Can anyone tell me how a seventeen year old boy could write a song like this???
