Vinyl Friday

Reminded of this cheery little number by the Horse Fly thread so thought best post it while fresh in the grey stuff:

It’s my favourite RT song, albeit I prefer the even more ‘stripped’ BBC Session version.

Got to say I couldn't stand her at the time but.... when a lady writes stuff like this, combines high art with ballet pop & classical music, & doesn't care if no one likes it, its obvious she likes it, & its so bonkers its pure genius. This is way out there. I got there in the end. Good to see her getting the credit she deserves 40 years later. Phenomenal.

If you've time, check out her double album "Aerial and A Sky of Honey", you won't be disappointed.

She was huge back in the day and widely appreciated but didn't like touring, she packed up halfway through her first tour. A unique talent.

These lads put on an incredible show in Cork on Wednesday night. They were groundbreaking nearly 40 years ago, wasn't the 80's was a great time to have an interest in music.
