Hi guy's
I know every rifles different but was wondering what amount of powder people put in using
1. Vit 140 using 52g in a 22 250
2. Vit 160 using 130g in 270

I think your N160 .270 load might be a tad off the mark!

I can't fit more than 62gns of N160 in a .270W case - you'd probably have to use a 3 tonne bearing press to get 130gns in there...:D

If I have to switch from H4831 to N160, my load will be around 60gns to get approx' 3,000 feet per second with a 130gn bullet.

i think he is talking bullet weights!

I use 55.5gr N160 under 130gr Interlocks
you can squeeze a lot more in there but it is the lower accuracy node in my rifle and saves on powder, recoil, carcase damage and everything else that another 5gr will produce!

I put 33.6 of 140 behind 55g Midway Dogtown SP in a 22.250 Tikka. A very effective round.
I cant get the Dogtowns anymore but Winchester's are shooting just as well.
