Its just explaining to my FEO why I need hmr as well as 22lr, 17Hornet & 204. They grumbled last time that the hornet was bit similar to 204....

Mine were OK when I told them I needed 2 HMR's. One for daytime, and one for night. Same with the .22's.

I explained to my FEO here in Lincolnshire that I needed more than one gun of similar calibre. I'm sure many other members on here with much more experience with the system will chime in. The reasons were for the size of land I have access to, and the particular requirements needed for each calibre being specific to the size of quarry or range use. Dedicated night time shooting vs daytime can help also.

All that said I'd buy the Weihrauch. It has never let me down.

I have to say that, in my experience anyway. North Yorkshire Police have been great with me for 30 or so years, since I moved here from West Yorkshire, who were also very good back then too.

Simply put, less prone to ricochets, so much safer than the .22lr. At least that shows you're thinking ahead ?.
